Passion Project

Spring 2025

In an inspiring collaboration between the Roselle Park District, WDSRA, and Passion Works Studio, artists with developmental differences will engage in a workshop where creativity meets sustainability. This hands-on session will empower participants to craft unique, hand-painted flowers using upcycled aluminum newspaper printing plates. These materials, once destined for disposal, will be ingeniously repurposed to create vibrant and enduring works of art.

Guided by the expert team from Passion Works Studio, each artist will explore various painting techniques and construction methods to bring their floral designs to life. The resulting pieces will not only showcase their artistic talents but also embody the spirit of environmental stewardship by giving new life to recycled materials.

The finished artwork will be proudly displayed along the newly established arboretum walk at Clauss Park, offering the community a chance to appreciate and celebrate the beauty of these one-of-a-kind creations. This project not only highlights the artistic achievements of individuals with developmental differences but also contributes to the park's visual and cultural enrichment, inviting visitors to enjoy a unique fusion of art, nature, and sustainability.
