The Distinguished Citizens Club (EB)
AGES 55 and up
Inviting all active older adults to spend Monday mornings with the Roselle Park District! Come meet, socialize and just have some fun. Once a month we’ll play Bunco and have lunch together. There will be trips and outings planned throughout each month. Participants are asked to take turns bringing treats. On Bunco Day (first Monday each month), everyone brings a lunch, or buys their own if we order out. Join us and meet new friends!
Ballroom Dance (EB)
AGES 18 and up
This session will cover Waltz and Foxtrot, and for the first time, continuity steps will be included. Priority will be given to patterns that have both a closed (Bronze) version and a continuity (Silver) version. Beginners are welcome so the intention is to keep things fun by simply walking through the continuity version. If you’ve taken basic classes before, continuity should be something new. For experienced dancers and fast learners, dance technique will be covered on an individual basis.
The Ballroom Dance program is designed to make you feel competent dancing at weddings and other social occasions, as well as the many ballroom dances offered each week in the area and across the country. Private/Semi-Private Ballroom Dance Lessons (EB)
Private dance lessons are customized to your personal needs. They are most commonly taken in conjunction with group lessons or in lieu of practice to clean up your dance steps or catch up with the class or your partner if you fall behind. In private lessons, you can learn to dance more quickly, especially for a special occasions such as weddings and dinner dances. To purchase a lesson ticket to be used at the agreed upon date and time, please pay at the front desk during regular front desk hours prior to your lesson.
Shotokan Karate (VO)
Children and adults universally enjoy learning the art of karate. Classes are taught by Illinois Shotokan Karate Club’s expert instructors under the direction of John DiPasquale, four-time National Champion, U.S. Karate National Coach and President of the National Karate Federation of the U.S. Beginner students will not be permitted to register into the current session after the second class has met. Registration for continuers through advanced students will be accepted after the start date, but the full class fee is required.
ADULT KARATE (8 Years & Older)
Karate builds coordination, agility, strength and poise, as well as establishes lasting personal safety skills. The mental aspect of karate is equal to if not greater than the physical. Practicing this art results in increased self-esteem, in addition to enhancing discipline and control. From work to home, the benefits of karate can be felt in all aspects of life.
PARENT & CHILD KARATE (Children 7 & Up)
Fees are per person. An excellent opportunity to spend quality time with your child, while conditioning muscles, developing coordination, and improving cardiovascular fitness.
-Uniforms and Belt-Testing are options available through the ISKC instructor.
-Please note that the Youth, Parent/Child and Adult classes may train together.

Adult Intro to Golf
AGES 16 and up
This six class course will be taught by a PGA Golf Pro. Beginners and advanced students will learn the proper techniques in making a full swing as well as chipping and putting. Also, golfing etiquette will be discussed. Clubs will be available for use; however students are en-couraged to bring their own. Practice balls are not included in the fee.
AGES 16 and up
We offer a wide array of tennis lessons and league play from ages five to adult held at the Centre Court Athletic Club. From beginners to competitive adult leagues and all skill levels in between, you will find Centre Court a top-notch indoor facility located at 1919 Walnut Street in Hanover Park. At the junior level, classes include Mini Smashers, geared towards beginners ages 5-7, up to the Junior Excellence level for players ready for competitive drills and match play. We also offer adult classes for beginners and intermediate level participants in addition to competitive singles and doubles leagues. • Participants must first check-in at Fitness Center Desk to obtain either a paid receipt OR a receipt indicating
they are a current Fitness Center member and present receipt to Open Gym Supervisor
• Once entering gym, all participants must sign-in and fill out required information clearly and legibly on check-in form.
•Open gym schedule and general gym schedule subject to change
• Players must wear appropriate gym shoes
• Players must demonstrate good sportsmanship
• Offensive language will not be tolerated
• Absolutely no gum or candy in the gym
• No hanging on the rim or dunking
